Day 13 (continued yet again): Paris Motor Show 2012 - Fancying some more fancy cars

Labels: | 0 comments»

Moving on at Paris Motor Show 2012.

View of Hall 1 as we went up the escalator.

Dengan confidentnya naik escalator, padahal tak boleh sampai Hall 4 pun. So we had to go back down, and on the way to Hall 4 we stumbled on this scene.

How vintage and fun! I would like to steal the Civic's little living room actually
I wouldn't mind having that vintage Civic either actually. Maybe in red.

Hall 4 was less chaotic. Still loads of people but not as crazy as Hall 1. First stop, Porsche.

Of course i thought of Zaf when i saw this Cayenne. This one is a hybrid. I didn't even know Porsche does hybrid
Porsche didn't have glass dividers though, so there were a few people touching the car. That's what the guys here do. They simply touch. But i'm pretty sure the cars were locked so people wouldn't be able to enter. They'd be crazy not to lock them. I imagine it would be the same kind of feeling when i touched the Balenciaga at Lafayette, so yes, i get you men.

Lamborghini next door!

OKKK, i have to admit, i was stoked at seeing these Lamborghinis.

I'm not a car lover or anything, but even i wouldn't say no to simply getting into the car and just get the 'feel'. They're super gorgeous.

This one definitely needs glass dividers. People were lining up behind the people around so that they could get to the very front of the glass to snap the best photos possible.

Bentley next.

Volkswagen, where my baby is.

Toyota is opposite Volkwswagen, but it wasn't high on our 'to-ogle-at' list
Sleeeeeeeeeek
And here is my future car!

This is Coccinelle 'Vintage', by the way. The 'vintage' tag comes from the red dashboard on the inside, which is of the same material as the outside. Super neattt RIGHT?

Yehhh Shah is feelin it!
OK, what car is this? I don't remember. You car geeks probably know.

OK, so we couldn't resist just checking out Toyota. And look at how SUITABLE this car is. For ME.

Don't you feel like crying for its name? Out of happiness?
I can't imagine any man buying this car for himself. This is most definitely a chick's car
Here's another one of those chic chick's cars. They have this LED display or whatever you call them, inside AND outside the car.

So yeh, lightings playing on your buttocks as you drive
See how the colour on the door changes?
Another thing that prompted Shah to say "The engineer in me needs a photo of this". So i took two, just in case. And he has loads more on his iPhone.

Come to think of it, i used to ask Shah to explain to me how hybrid cars work. We probably should have stared at it a lot longer and discuss. Or whatever.

OK, moving on to another hall! Our last one, as we need to hurry home for Maghrib. We exited Hall 4 to head to Hall 5, another one that's filled to the brim with fancy cars.

By this hour people were getting ready to call it a day

An electric bus!
So handsome

Just to remind you how Shah and i look like
Cadillac! I do like Cadillacs. And Mustangs. Shah reckons i might have an affinity for boxy, long American cars.

I really think that is an actual car stuck on the ceiling. It's not stuck really, it was actually moving around the ceiling. That could Opel, or Chevrolet or Suzuki.

And hello HELLO!

Look at how EXCITED Sheh is!!!
I think i might just dedicate a whole post on this car. Because that's how much i love Shah. And dare i say, Manchester United too. It's the whole support-your-husband's-team loyalty thing.

More interesting cars along the way, although by this time were hurrying to see the big guns in Hall 5.

Jaguar too has glass dividers. But not as many people staring at the cars agog.

And to end our Paris Motor Show trip, McLaren!

To be honest, i was actually excited to arrive here. Which confused me. Shah confused me, i think. I'm liking cars now? After ONE motor show??

There weren't as many people around here as there was in Ferrari, but it was due to the time. I did feel like the fanatic-ity of McLaren's fans around this area was more intense, somewhat. The people who managed to enter the area looked quietly thrilled in my opinion.

Seriously, this car is a total BABE
And that, people, is our motor show wrapped!
Hello comel!
We choose when to be vain, and this was one of the moments
So my next post will be on Manchester United + Chevrolet. Don't bother reading it if you're going to make snarky comments OK?

Bye!
