OK, i know i would try not to dedicate this post on food, but i promise this is a super short one. Because i only want to highlight on the one food that all Malaysians love. All of them, right? Who doesn't love roti canai??
Let me just stress on this: i had NO IDEA that i would be able to eat fresh roti canai here. If you had told me, "Kat Paris nanti enjoy lah roti canai ya", i would think, yeh right. Sure, you can get the frozen paratha ones; you can, in Little India! But fresh, straight off the grill roti canai? Where in Paris? Hm, i guess kat Little India pun should ada, right? Probably ada, but where exactly? Unless you know how to make one yourself?
Actually Shah might know how to make them. His parents make them in their kitchen all the time. I've even recorded Atta doing the Superman-canai action on Shah's iPhone. But Shah would be rusty at it. And he barely has time to do anything else than work anyway.
Syukur, Alhamdulillah. To have an uncle who's a professional chef from India who just happens to be in Paris at the same time as we are.
Of course ada dhal. Lepas tu kena ada Milo panas jugak (milo pun mama bagi, by the way).
