This was Mama's "welcome dinner" for me, the first night i met him. OK, not so much for me, he cooked for the VVIP, but Shah thought it was extra special, so he was quite sure Mama considered me into the equation as well. Maybe, maybe.
I think i'll just let the photos do most of the talking, shall i? Most, not all.

These all for us two, for ONE dinner je patutnya. But we kept them for a few days, don't worry, we appreciate Mama's food too much |

Basmati rice. Even his rice is super delish |
We weren't sure what these were. But i still ate them |
These are the kind of expensive lamb chops that looked like chicken when bitten. Does that make sense? I'll show you later |
Beriyani |
Not sure what sayur this is... But we finished them. Looks like chilli, no? But nope. Yang tengah besar warna hijau gelap tu memang cili. Pedas tapi sedap giler |
NOT sambal udang. Sweet sour pun bukan. Tapi ni yang paling sedap kot |
Alfalfa sprouts and the salad yang kebab selalu ada tu, i think |
I just added bits of everything for my first round. Baru first round, ya? |
I've never eaten a lamb chop like this! Rasa spesyel sanget |
Fresh figs! First time in my life dapat tengok. But i still prefer the dried version though |
OK, and for the dessert, we got two tarts (the peach and strawberry ones i showed in my previous post; we didn't touch the tarts at first) and two of this chocolate cake/mousse. I have to single this one out because i think i may have just found ANOTHER one of my MOST FAVOURITE DESSERTS,
EVER.

Come to mamah!!! |
Oh my God, honestly, i FELL IN LOVE with this. See how i'm using capital letters here? I absolutely LOVED this thing. It tasted a little like praline too, which might be the crunchy layer at the bottom. I don't know the name, but i saw a Dalloyau Paris shop/counter at Galleries Lafayette the other day, and i saw this dessert but i forgot to remember its name. It's priced at 7.50 EUR. I don't know when i will eat this again but now that i know where to find it, NYAH NYAH NYAH. If you're wondering why i didn't buy it then and there, it's because i am married to Shah and he doesn't think it's practical to buy a dessert when we probably have three desserts in our refrigerator, from Mama. I had to grudgingly admit that he's right.
Seriously though, this has to be in the top 3 of the most delicious desserts i've EVER eaten, if not number 1. Actually, come to think of it, this IS probably the first on the list. Yes, i've decided. The one that comes in second should be Chocolate Pudding Cake from Le Cafe in New Zealand (how appropriate, even its name is French), which i ordered every time i went there (it was served with ice cream AND milk. milk, yes, you read that right!) and Serai's chocolate cake is number 3, the one that needs 20 minutes to make. Serai's one is the molten lava one, or am i stealing that term from Chilis? Hm. Anyway it's the one which has chocolate oozing out of it. It's a little tiny for the price, but it's the closest thing i could find to Le Cafe's chocolate pudding one.
OK, so, that's it. That was our feast. Syukur, Alhamdulillah, we feel very blessed, having our Caca/Mama here. And not just for his food, serious OK, also for his kindness and generosity.
Till my next one! I'll try not to dedicate my next post entirely on food. Hee.
